Abstract:

Virginity testing and purity rape are prevalent in Afghanistan. These forced vaginal exams are sexual assault and constitute torture. The exams violate human rights, women’s rights, and rights to privacy in Afghanistan. The goal of the paper and presentation is to spread awareness about these atrocities in hopes of finding a way to end these violations.
