Abstract:

Native Americans face poverty and discrimination on a level equal to or greater than other minority racial groups in the U.S. However, very little media attention is paid to the struggles of Native people. In this presentation, poverty is the main focus, and how poverty informs and causes other issues like legal discrimination and police brutality against Native people, and what can be done to help.
