The Parents That Wear Capes: Why We View Our Parents as Heroes
Abstract:
It is a common experience for children to select their parents as heroes. They represent many characteristics and traits of an everyday hero. My research discusses the difference between hero types, heroes and everyday heroes, as well as different levels of heroism. I will also discuss why children name their parents as heroes, as well as the heroic traits they identify. Although we can all appreciate the actions of our favorite superheroes, my research also dives into the importance of having everyday heroes to look up to and identify with.Title
