Abstract:

Many believe that we have entered an free of colonialism, though this is superficially true. The true nature of colonialism does not allow us to ignore its effects even in this era. We have definitely progressed in working towards equality, however the history and the atrocities committed by those in power have been “white-washed”. We have seen an increase in euphemistic teachings of colonialism and this needs to stop. India was one of many victims of “British Raj”, and though we have come a long way, we are far from free.
