The Harmful Aspects of Stolen Holocaust Art

Abstract:

The theft of artwork during the Holocaust is still wounding survivors and their families 77 years later. Whether it be a struggle to return it to the proper family or a lengthy court battle over appropriate ownership, the reparation process is still challenging. Fortunately, foundations are dedicated to ensuring that reinstating artwork can be straightforward and concise. Although the work they do is incredible, it is disappointing that such institutions must exist in order to attempt to undo the harm caused. The damages the Nazis did to the world of art are still affecting society almost a century later.
