The Effect of Climate Change on Ski Resorts in New York: Adaptations and Financial Burdens Faced in Light of Warmer Winters
Abstract:
Climate change has evolved how ski areas operate worldwide. The study examines how those within the ski industry perceive climate change. Specifically, this research looks into current and future adaptations that ski areas in New York utilize to remain open for winter sports activities. Based on survey results from ski areas in New York, this research provides a deeper understanding of how ski areas in a temperate state like New York fare in light of climate change.
