A Study of CTE in the NFL

Abstract:

A trend of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) diagnoses among players resulting in the deterioration of their lives during and after their careers, has stemmed from a pattern of a medical conflict of interest and a lack of effective NFL regulation. The introduction of a split medical team and safer tackling regulations, combined with the use of helmet sensors, could possibly be effective solutions to reduce traumatic brain injuries in the NFL.
