Abstract:

This research was done in my English capstone this fall. In this class we had to take a previous essay we have done and turn it into something else. I chose to connect an essay I have previously written, and change it into something I want to do in graduate school. I am going for special education, and this essay was originally about two pieces of literature where the characters were isolated from society. In my capstone class, I turned this paper into why teachers need to include special education students in the classroom by using literature where characters are isolated as the model. I talk about the importance of including all students in the general education classroom.
