Men Determine Women’s Working Success

Abstract:

Women are rarely hired into higher paying positions in the working world. These jobs, which are often filled by men, come with more responsibility and power. Similarly, a trend of men being the ones to primarily run companies has become very apparent in our modern society. As this continues, women grow unmotivated to apply their efforts into being hired for better positions because they know they will be won out for the job by a man. There needs to be something done about the lack of female representation within the corporate world, specifically in higher paying, and more powerful positions. Another trend that is likely to continue into the future is women continuing to be the minority in the corporate world. This is not their fault though; fault should be given to men for overpopulating companies. Additionally, there are ways these companies can change by bettering the work environment and asking relevant questions that pertain to women. They often do not want to do anything about any of these issues since it does not directly affect them. All of this leads to men being the main reason women do not acquire senior level jobs in the corporate world.
