Know Your Campus- Oriental Bittersweet Pull Project
Abstract:
Siena College is home to many invasive plants, one of which being the deadly vine known as Oriental Bittersweet. This project hopes to achieve two major goals, the first of which being to introduce and educate the campus of Oriental Bittersweet and the greater implications that Invasive Species have in regards to the environment. The second goal is to organize an Oriental Bittersweet eradication effort on campus, making use of volunteers from the Environmental Club and the additional assistance of Judy Dougherty, Director of the Franciscan Center on campus. Following the completion of this project, we hope to spur environmental interest in the greater Siena community, and to prevent the spread of Oriental Bittersweet on campus grounds.Title
