Abstract:

In this research project I have examined how watersheds are defined under different words and definitions to see how narrowly defined they are. I used qualitative data like word clouds to show that the synonyms of watersheds are defined similarly even though they shouldn’t always. I then created a map from the suggestions of Dr Meierdiercks’ paper to show what watersheds really look like in the real world and not just this “western ideal” version we are used to.
