Abstract:

For my honors thesis, I chose to examine the relationship between mental health treatment and homelessness. I wanted to look at the accessibility and types of treatment, and lack thereof, available for the homeless population and how this compares to the general population. My main idea suggests that if individuals had easier access to proper mental health treatment, the severity of their experience with homelessness would decrease. Additionally, this may decrease the population of homeless individuals.
